WW2 Russian PPSH 41 Machine Gun Relic
The PPSH 41 was the most common Soviet submachine-gun of the Second World War. It saw widespread post-war service with armies supplied by the USSR. Prior to 1940, the armed forces of the USSR had employed submachine-guns only on a limited scale.
In early 1939 they were withdrawn from service entirely. The highly effective use made of this type of weapon by the Finns, during the 'Winter War' of 1939-40, brought about a reversal of this policy and trials of new submachine-gun designs were carried out during 1940.
💬“This relic was used by a soldier of the 5th Guards Army, recovered in Psel River, South of Kursk on the Voronezh front”
💬“The area was defended against the German 2nd SS Panzer Corps during the Operation Citadel”.
